Lake Billy Chinook
Located in Sunny Central Oregon, Lake Billy Chinook is fed by the Crooked, Deschutes, and Metolius Rivers.
The lake was created by the construction of the Round Butte Dam in 1964. The three rivers form three large arms to the lake, which has 72 miles of shoreline surrounding 3,916 acres, an average depth of 102 ft., with a maximum depth of 415 ft. The lake provides world-class recreation opportunities, including boating, water sports, swimming, fishing, camping, and much more.
The top 3 state Bull Trout records have all come from this lake, the largest being 23 lb 2 oz!
